Vision
At St John’s and St Peter’s CE Academy we believe that learning and embracing different languages is incredibly important in our day-to-day life. Children at St John’s and St Peter’s speak over 36 different home languages, and many are bi-lingual. Children being taught a second language not only allows them to converse with others, but also allows them to embrace and champion other cultures. Learning Spanish will give our pupils the chance to listen, speak and write in the world’s third most spoken language. We want our children to foster a positive attitude towards learning languages that can then be supported as they move on to Secondary school where they will continue to develop these language buildings blocks and skills.
